Why is the drive not accessible after recovery?

Problem:

After restoring a partition with Partition Recovery for Windows, trying to access the drive causes an error D: is not accessible, the parameter is not correct.

Answer:

This may be due to an improper volume recovery. Check to see if several similar volumes have been found. If this is the case you may try to rollback the changes, inspect all found volumes and recover another volume that looks valid.

This may also be due to further corruption of file system on the volume.

You may select File > Save Hardware Info and send us the HW-INFO.XML file to analyze the problem.

You may also upgrade to Active@ Partition Recovery Ultimate package, containing Active@ File Recovery (to recover individual files / folders).

Or, you may try to run the CMD console command CHKDSK. However there is a substantial risk of loosing remaining data.
